Help For Prayer

We tell people quite often what they need to do. One of the things that I hear pastors and spiritual leaders telling people to do is to pray. But they very seldom tell people how to pray. I guess we just assume that people know how to pray. But that's not always the case. So I thought I'd make some suggestions that might help.
1) Pray a list
Make a list of things you want to pray for. Pray everyday for the items and people on your list until the prayer is answered, then indicate on your list that God answered that request.
2) Pray an acrostic
ACTS
A for Adoration That is we praise God and worship Him through prayer first.
Ex: Lord, You are awesome. There is no one more important than You.
C for Confession That is we make bold confessions of faith in prayer.
Ex: I am blessed! Everything will work out for the good! I am forgiven.
T for Thanksgiving That is to give thanks in prayer.
Ex: Thank You for this day, Lord. Thank You for my job and my family.
S for Supply That is asking God for His supply in prayer.
Ex: Pray for other's needs, then pray for your own needs last.
3) Pray as a warrior
Pray against the enemy, Satan and his demonic forces. Take authority over him and his schemes. Pray for protection for you and your family. Pray for healing and prosperity.
4) Pray in the Spirit
Pray in the Holy Spirit. Pray with His power and ability. Use your heavenly prayer language.
5) Listen in prayer
Listening is probably the most important part of prayer. Listen in your spirit. Listen in your heart. Listen through Scripture. Listen through others. Listen for His voice.
6) Pray Scripture
Quote the Bible everyday in prayer. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." "Greater is He who is in me than he that is in the world."
7) Pray with others
Friends, family, brothers or sisters in Christ, work buddies...

Hope this helps! God bless the reader!
