Father First in Our Decisions

How do you make decisions? Do you base your decisions on God's Word? Do you just make the best decisions you can from acquired wisdom and life experiences?

Let me make some practical suggestions about how we can better follow our Heavenly Father as He directs us in making decisions in everyday life.

  • We need to make our decisions based on Scripture. That's why it's so important to know the Bible.
  • We need to make our decisions based on the leadership of the Holy Spirit. He is real and can lead us and guide us in the decision-making process.
  • We need to seek the counsel of other wise Christians whom we trust. We are turning to the Father through their wise counsel.
  • We need to make decisions connected to the overflow of our deeply profound relationship with our Father.
Making good decisions is not so easy today, especially in light of the way our Christian world view is bombarded by the liberal, worldly pattern projected by political correctness. That's why it's so important that our Father comes first in our decision-making enterprise.
